Message of engine bay work. Per the other posting below, there are a number of things that can break or have to be cut due to engine age if the plenum has never been pulled (ie., injector connectors, under plenum coolant lines, other various hoses, etc).

Just realize - there's a method for doing injectors call the Dremel method. Some of the upper plenum runner is ground down (via a Dremel tool) to allow injector removal access. Shops may quote the higher charges for a full plenum pull and then do the Dremel method allowing them to make a nice amount of extra dollars. The Dremel method may take 1 hour or so in total for the whole job for 1 injector.

This all being said - also consider if 1 injector goes bad others may shortly follow. Does it make sense to bite the bullet, pull the plenum, replace all the injectors (and probably injector connectors if in bad shape) and call it a day? This also allows the deletion of the under plenum coolant system which could start to leak soon too? Or - replace those coolant lines if you don't want to delete that system.
